I don’t actually think that people are mocking their pronunciations. I think it’s more like enjoying their particular tendencies, which is actually interesting. I hope they won’t think they are being laughed at, but more of being appreciated in their unique way of doing things, or rather in this case, saying words.

 

 

Anytime I’ve seen a video that highlights accents, such as the video of German people trying to say the word “Squirrel” (if you haven’t seen that video please watch it, it’s amazing), I’ve always thought of it as just harmless fun and admiring┬áthe millions subtle differences in language. If you can speak another language at all that’s amazing, having an accent is just like a fun added bonus. I personally love listening to people with different accents speak in English.
